Pakistan Software House Association (P@SHA), voice of the local IT industry has helped numerous companies establish themselves over the years. With over 350 companies active under its banner, P@SHA has been lobbying for the rights and policies with the government to bring in more companies in to the IT industry of Pakistan.
This women’s day, P@SHA released a list that highlights the major women working in the key industries of Pakistan to encourage women working in various fields.

The P@SHA ProWomen list is a live document with crowd sourced names of professional women in the key sectors of Pakistan. The aim of the list is to have an organically updated directory of women that can be contacted as speakers, trainers, consultants, and board members etc.
The list not only mentions women that work in the tech industry but also hard working women who have truly made a name for themselves or are well on their way to. The industry-wise split here includes categories; Technology, Finance/Banking, Corporate Leaders, Journalism, Marketing and Advertising, Government, Law, Development, Healthcare & Medicine, Politics, TV/Film Making, Writer/Poet, Events & Public Relations, Activism, Fashion, Sports, Artists, Architecture/Design, Photography and Others.

Names in the list include Jehan Ara, President P@SHA; Kalsoom Lakhani, CEO i2i; Maria Umar, Women’s Digital League, Sadaffe Abid, Founder Circle; Nighat Dad, Executive Director Digital Rights Foundation among various other talented women.
