PASHA leaders participated in the Annual Cyber Security Conference Pakistan 2025 on 3 December, contributing to discussions focused on strengthening digital systems and enhancing national level cyber readiness. The conference brought together experts, industry representatives and policymakers to address emerging risks and exchange insights on improving cyber resilience. PASHA Chairman Sajjad Syed and CEC Member Salman Dar represented the association, offering perspectives on safeguarding Pakistan’s expanding digital environment.
During the conference, Sajjad Syed delivered a keynote address on cybersecurity as a national priority. His remarks focused on the importance of securing critical infrastructure and highlighted the need for consistent attention to cyber readiness across all major sectors. He emphasized that Pakistan’s technology landscape continues to evolve, increasing the significance of preparedness and long term investment in secure systems. His address drew attention to the role of collaborative frameworks where public and private organizations share responsibility for strengthening national capacities. By highlighting coordinated efforts, he underscored the relevance of communication and partnership in developing a stable digital ecosystem.
Following the keynote session, Salman Dar joined a panel discussion titled Pakistan’s Critical Infrastructure Under Threat: A National Risk Assessment. During the discussion, he spoke about various threats that can affect critical systems and outlined how risk mitigation requires structured planning and informed decision making. He addressed the importance of identifying vulnerabilities early and developing policies that encourage proactive responses from stakeholders across government and industry. His participation added practical insight into how organizations can work together when dealing with evolving cyber risks, particularly in areas where infrastructure demands continuous monitoring and assessment.
At the close of the event, Ghazanfar Ali Khan, CEO at EPL, CBA and Keytaab, presented shields to Sajjad Syed and Salman Dar in acknowledgment of their contributions to the conference.
