Ministry of IT & Telecom, in collaboration with Huawei’s “Train the Trainer” program, has embarked on an ambitious initiative to empower 300,000 students with essential Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills. The move aims to equip the next generation of innovators and technologists with the tools they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

The collaboration has already achieved significant milestones, including the certification of 200 trainers, who will play a pivotal role in spreading digital knowledge across the country. In addition, a dedicated portal has been launched to provide access to ICT training for 260,000 students, ensuring that this digital revolution reaches a broad and diverse audience.

The training initiative is designed to give students practical and in-demand skills, which will enable them to contribute to Pakistan’s burgeoning tech industry. The program also underscores the Ministry’s commitment to fostering innovation, empowering youth, and creating a future-ready workforce equipped to tackle the challenges of tomorrow.

The ICT training portal, which can be accessed at ICT Training Portal, serves as a central hub for students looking to enhance their technical expertise and expand their career opportunities.

This initiative is a crucial part of Pakistan’s broader strategy to foster a digitally empowered society, reduce unemployment, and create opportunities for youth. The Ministry of IT & Telecom has expressed its optimism that the program will not only bridge the digital divide but also fuel the country’s growth in the global technology space.

As the program progresses, it is expected to have a transformative impact on Pakistan’s tech ecosystem, preparing a new generation of highly skilled professionals capable of driving the nation’s digital future.
