PTA has released its latest data, indicating a steady growth in the country’s cellular subscriber base. As of September 2024, the total number of cellular subscribers reached 193.346 million, a slight increase from the previous month.

The data also revealed a rise in the number of 3G and 4G users, with the total number of NGMS (Next Generation Mobile Service) users reaching 138.731 million. This translates to a 56.96% penetration rate, showcasing the increasing adoption of advanced mobile technologies.

While the overall trend is positive, some variations were observed among individual telecom operators. Jazz, Zong, Telenor, and Ufone experienced fluctuations in their 3G and 4G user bases during September.

As the telecommunications sector continues to evolve, the PTA remains committed to ensuring the provision of quality and affordable services to the Pakistani public.
