The number of cellular subscribers in Pakistan increased by 394,000 in July 2024, reaching 192.924 million. This growth was driven by an increase in 3G and 4G users, which now account for 56.15% of the total subscriber base.

Jazz, Zong, Telenor, and Ufone all saw increases in their 4G subscriber base in July. However, all four operators experienced declines in their 3G subscriber base.

PTA received 19,188 complaints from telecom consumers in July, of which 99% were resolved. The majority of complaints were against cellular mobile operators, followed by internet service providers and basic telephony.

Overall, the telecom sector in Pakistan continues to grow, with increasing adoption of 4G technology and strong customer service.
