Jazz has continued expanding its 5G network in Karachi, with services now active in more than fifteen locations across the city, signalling a gradual increase in next generation connectivity in Pakistan’s largest metropolitan hub. The latest rollout targets high demand residential and commercial areas where mobile data usage remains consistently high. At this stage, the deployment follows a phased approach, with 5G enabled at specific نقاط within selected neighbourhoods rather than across entire districts, allowing the operator to test performance and user experience under real world conditions.
According to the latest update, coverage includes a mix of upscale residential communities, commercial centres, and key roads. Areas such as Precinct 2 Park in Bahria Town Karachi, Gulshan e Iqbal Block 13A, and multiple sites along Shahrah e Faisal have been included in the rollout. In addition, several locations within Defence Housing Authority including Phase 1, Phase 6, Phase 7, and Phase 8 now have partial 5G availability. Clifton also features prominently, with coverage reported in Blocks 4, 5, and 8, along with Bilawal Chowrangi and the Muslim Commercial Area. Healthcare facilities such as Shireen Jinnah Hospital are also among the locations where 5G services have been activated, reflecting a focus on areas with high footfall and connectivity demand.
While the list highlights more than fifteen areas, many entries indicate partial deployment within each location, meaning that 5G signals are currently limited to specific نقاط rather than covering entire blocks or phases. For instance, major roads and neighbourhoods may have multiple active sites, but coverage remains concentrated in selected pockets. This selective rollout allows Jazz to gradually expand its infrastructure while monitoring network stability, device compatibility, and usage trends before scaling up coverage more widely across the city.
The expansion in Karachi is part of a broader effort by telecom operators in Pakistan to roll out 5G services in phases across major urban centres. As demand for faster and more reliable connectivity continues to grow, such incremental deployments are expected to play a key role in shaping the future of mobile networks in the country. With ongoing testing and infrastructure development, more areas in Karachi are likely to come online in the coming months, supporting improved data speeds and a better overall user experience for subscribers.
