Hong Kong witnessed the triumph of Pakistani IT firms as they clinched major accolades at the Asia-Pacific Information & Communication Technology Alliance (APICTA) Awards 2023 held on Friday. Zohaib Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), revealed that Pakistani IT companies secured a total of 8 awards at APICTA 2023, with Superwomen Pakistan notably securing the Gold award in the Superwomen category.

Among the distinguished winners were Dermavision by NUST, SSGC Automated Reader by FAST NUCES, FlowHCM by Impetus Systems, Koyal by F9, Brainbox by Excellence Delivered, Socialchamp by Social Champ, and Collision Resilient Caged Quadcopter by Ace Aeronautics.

APICTA, an association of ICT communities from member economies in the Asia-Pacific region, aims to foster collaboration and promote technology innovation. The APICTA Awards serve as an annual platform recognizing outstanding contributions to the development of indigenous ICT solutions for the global market.

The 16 member economies in APICTA include Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macao, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam.

In a statement, Chairman Zohaib Khan underscored that P@SHA stands as the sole trade body of Pakistan’s IT industry, registered with DGTO under the Ministry of Commerce. Additionally, P@SHA is the exclusive Pakistani entity globally recognized by top industry institutions such as WISTA (World Information Technology and Services Alliance), ASOCIO (Asian Oceanic Computing Industry Organization), and APICTA (Asia-Pacific ICT Alliance).
