Shafiqa Iqbal, a Pakistani data engineer, was hired by Google through LinkedIn. She is currently employed by Google Poland’s Warsaw office.

Ms. Shafiqa graduated in 2010 from Punjab University and is originally from Sadiqabad, Punjab. Shafiqa Iqbal is a Big Data Engineer at Google, a Global Ambassador of the Women in Tech Network, and a top Upwork seller.

She also has expertise in ETL pipelines, back-end programming, and database migrations (including cloud solutions). She created scalable and distributed solutions in an effort to assist enterprises all around the world.

After she had reportedly been out of the workforce for around two and a half years, Google reportedly contacted her over LinkedIn.

The article claims that after she had been out of the workforce for around 2.5 years, Google contacted her via LinkedIn. The interview process began through LinkedIn, and she was hired for the post.

Shafiqa Iqbal said during her final interview with Google that the meeting blacked out as a result of the internet being down while she was being questioned during the closing comments. Even so, the interviewer expressed no anxiety on this matter and advised against ever underestimating one’s own ability.

According to Shafiqa, organisations like Facebook and Google enhance donations to open-source software. She selected the profession because she wanted to be independent, and she worked hard to advance through the ranks at a prestigious company like Google.

She was also working as a data engineer, which is a booming field, and was hired on a few open source projects. She was also blogging about data engineering at the same time.

The 24-year-old Data Engineer works for Google in Warsaw, Poland, as an authorised employee. Shafiqa is the lone employee from Pakistan out of 1300 total.

She is from a Punjab-based Muslim family. Shafiqa’s family serves as a conduit for the teachings and principles of true religion. She enjoys going on vacation, participating in activities, and spending time with her family.
