Pakistan is preparing to host Indus AI Week 2026, a government led initiative designed to strengthen national capacity in artificial intelligence while building sustained collaboration with international stakeholders. The week long programme will serve as a structured platform to discuss policy direction, innovation frameworks and practical implementation of AI across multiple sectors. The event reflects the country’s growing focus on technology driven development and the role of emerging technologies in public and private sector transformation.

The programme will formally begin with the Indus AI Summit on February 9, 2026, at the Jinnah Convention Centre in Islamabad. The summit is expected to bring together policymakers, international experts, technology leaders, researchers, entrepreneurs and youth from across Pakistan and abroad. Discussions during the opening summit will focus on defining a strategic direction for artificial intelligence adoption, with an emphasis on responsible use, capacity building and alignment with national development priorities. By convening decision makers and practitioners on a single platform, the summit aims to facilitate informed dialogue around regulatory frameworks, institutional readiness and cross border cooperation in AI related fields.

Throughout Indus AI Week, sessions and engagements will highlight the application of artificial intelligence across governance, education, industry and public services. Government representatives and subject specialists are expected to explore how AI can support data driven decision making in public administration, improve service delivery and enhance transparency. In the education sector, conversations are likely to address curriculum modernization, skills development and the preparation of future talent for an AI enabled economy.
