Pakistan’s technology sector continues to demonstrate its expanding capabilities in artificial intelligence and robotics as Xavor Corporation, in collaboration with NaviGait, has developed Navi, an Artificial Intelligence powered robot designed for elder care. The initiative combines advanced robotics hardware sourced from China with software development, Artificial Intelligence systems, and coding that have been entirely designed in Pakistan. The development highlights how local technology firms are contributing to practical solutions that address social needs while strengthening the country’s presence in emerging technology fields.

The project has been presented within the Pakistan Software Houses Association community as an example of innovation originating from Pakistani technology companies. Navi has been developed to assist senior citizens by offering companionship, emotional understanding, and support while complementing the work of human caregivers. The robot integrates intelligent systems that allow it to interact with elderly users in a supportive and responsive manner, helping families and care providers enhance the overall well being of aging individuals. By combining robotics hardware with locally developed Artificial Intelligence systems, the project reflects a growing trend in Pakistan’s technology sector where software expertise is being applied to global robotics solutions.

In a video explaining the development journey, Hussain Bhatti, Vice President of Xavor Corporation and Co founder of NaviGait, described how the idea evolved from a desire to create technology that supports elderly individuals while maintaining the role of human caregivers. According to Bhatti, the robot has been designed to understand emotional cues and respond in a way that promotes comfort and interaction for seniors who may require continuous support. The system focuses on empathy driven Artificial Intelligence capabilities that assist users through conversation, reminders, and basic assistance functions while still allowing caregivers to remain central to the care process. The project also reflects the collaboration between international hardware sourcing and Pakistani expertise in Artificial Intelligence engineering, software architecture, and system integration.

Technology leaders have described the development as a demonstration of the potential of Pakistani engineers and innovators to build solutions that can compete in global markets. The initiative illustrates how Pakistan’s technology ecosystem continues to expand beyond traditional software services into advanced technologies such as robotics and Artificial Intelligence applications. Industry stakeholders note that projects like Navi strengthen Pakistan’s reputation as a source of high quality technical talent capable of building complex systems for international markets. Further details about the initiative have been shared through the Pakistan Software Houses Association community and can be accessed at https://champ.ly/LvCDJx3b, where information about the project and its development journey has been published. The achievement also highlights how collaboration between technology companies and innovators within the country is supporting the growth of solutions that combine international hardware capabilities with locally developed software intelligence.
