Pakistan’s growing technology community is gearing up for the second edition of the Pakistan Semiconductor Summit (PSS) 2026, scheduled to take place from March 27 to 29 at the Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering (SDSB), Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in Lahore. Organised under the theme “Growth Opportunities for Pakistan Semiconductors: Talent, Industry, and Global Bridges,” the three-day summit is positioned as the country’s foremost industry platform dedicated to developing and expanding Pakistan’s semiconductor ecosystem at a time when the global semiconductor market is approaching a trillion-dollar valuation.
The summit arrives at a particularly opportune moment. As the global demand for semiconductor design services, specialised workforce development, and strategic cross-border partnerships continues to surge, Pakistan finds itself at an inflection point with the potential to carve out a meaningful niche in the international semiconductor value chain. PSS 2026 is structured around strengthening those connections — both within Pakistan and with global industry players — by bringing together semiconductor industry professionals, early-stage startups, investors, academic researchers, and engineering students under one roof to collectively chart a path forward for the country’s participation in this high-stakes global industry.
The programme for PSS 2026 has been designed to offer substantive value across multiple engagement formats. Attendees can expect leadership keynotes, lightning talks, in-depth technical sessions in the form of oral presentations, and an emerging talent showcase through poster presentations. A dedicated hackathon challenge will provide hands-on competitive exposure, while tutorials and a networking lounge round out the agenda to facilitate the kind of informal yet consequential connections that often define industry summits. The event targets a diverse audience spanning design engineers, verification experts, RTL architects, backend engineers, packaging specialists, and semiconductor executives, as well as companies building integrated circuit design services, electronic design automation workflows, chip intellectual property, artificial intelligence accelerators, and semiconductor-enabled products. Policymakers, trade organisations, investment boards, venture capitalists, and academic researchers are also among the expected participants, reflecting the summit’s intent to align stakeholders across all pillars of the ecosystem.
PSS 2026 builds on the momentum of its inaugural edition held in April 2024, which drew significant attention from Pakistan’s technology and engineering community, as well as the Global Semiconductor Startup Forum held in 2023. Both events helped establish Pakistan as an emerging participant in global semiconductor dialogue. With the second summit now expanding its scope and ambition, organisers are looking to translate that foundational energy into concrete industry pipelines, talent pathways, and investment interest that can sustain Pakistan’s semiconductor aspirations well beyond the conference hall.
