Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed all provinces to share complete tax data with NADRA in an effort to improve tax collection efficiency. The meeting also addressed the challenges faced by Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM). The government plans to scrap the loss-making steel mill and repurpose the land for general industrial purposes. A committee will be formed to oversee the redevelopment of the land, including exploring the possibility of establishing an EPZ or SEZ.

The meeting also approved a proposal for an equity partnership between the Ministry of Railways and the Sindh government for a project. In separate discussions, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs recommended a self-dredging model for the Port Qasim dredging project.

To address illegal fishing activity in Balochistan and Sindh, the Ministry of Defence will take the lead in collaboration with other stakeholders. All provinces have been instructed to develop plans for ensuring wheat production and establishing adequate storage facilities. The government will approach the World Bank and Asian Development Bank to secure funding for these storage facilities.
