The Global Digital Economy Conference 2024, held in Beijing, China, from July 2nd to July 5th, witnessed Pakistan’s significant presence, led by Minister of IT and Telecom, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja. The event brought together global leaders, innovators, and stakeholders to discuss the future of the digital economy.

Ms. Khawaja’s leadership at the conference underscored Pakistan’s growing influence and commitment to advancing its digital economy on the global stage. The conference agenda covered vital topics, including artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, cybersecurity, digital divide, digital inclusion, and sustainable development.

Pakistan’s participation aimed to leverage technology for economic growth and societal benefit. Ms. Khawaja expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, 

“This conference provided a unique opportunity for us to showcase Pakistan’s digital advancements and learn from other nations’ best practices.”
