Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb has launched the Invest Pak Portal, describing it as the beginning of a new phase for investment in Pakistan and confirming that the government will provide investors with every possible facility. The launch positions the platform as one of the country’s latest efforts to modernise its investment landscape and bring more retail participation into formal financial channels.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Aurangzeb said Pakistan offers a wide range of investment opportunities and congratulated the Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan on the rollout of the new system. He explained that the portal is designed to promote foreign investment in the country and to make the overall investment process easier for both local and international participants. The minister added that individuals can now invest through the JazzCash application starting from as little as Rs 5,000, describing this level of accessibility as beneficial for everyday investors. He also pointed out that the number of investors participating in the Pakistan Stock Exchange has grown in recent times, and that ongoing efforts are being made to attract younger segments of the population, particularly Generation Z, toward long term investment habits.

Aurangzeb further stated that the Invest Pak Portal will offer facilities in line with international standards and that digital platforms of this nature represent an important milestone for the country’s financial sector. He noted that the system will speed up the overall investment process and emphasised that the private sector has a significant role to play in supporting broader economic growth. The minister’s remarks reflected a wider push by the finance ministry to encourage digital participation in investment activities as part of ongoing financial sector reforms.

State Bank Governor Jameel Ahmed also addressed the ceremony, stating that effective steps are being taken to promote investment across the country and that the Invest Pak Portal will play an important role in advancing digital investment. He explained that the portal will give investors direct access to online facilities, reducing the need for physical paperwork and in person visits. The Governor added that Pakistan is moving toward greater economic stability and that the one window facility introduced through this portal will help accelerate the investment process for both individual and institutional investors. He also mentioned that the modern digital system will increase transparency and convenience, giving investors more confidence in how their transactions and holdings are managed. You can access the portal directly at investpak.sbp.org.pk.
