Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja met with Abdullah Abdulrahman A. Almubadal, Deputy Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission of Saudi Arabia, to discuss broader cooperation across digital transformation and technology driven sectors. The meeting took place as part of efforts to expand Pakistan’s international engagement with countries that have expressed interest in collaborating on next generation technologies and supporting capacity building across core ICT areas. According to officials, the discussion was centered on identifying areas where the two countries can work together to accelerate innovation, strengthen digital connectivity and explore strategic investment opportunities that support long term technological progress.
MoITT shared that the conversation included detailed exchanges on Pakistan’s ongoing work in digital infrastructure, cloud policy implementation, cybersecurity frameworks and public sector modernization initiatives. Saudi Arabia outlined its experiences in digital governance, space communication systems and national technology programs, offering insight into avenues where knowledge sharing could support mutual development. Both sides expressed interest in exploring cooperation in satellite communication, artificial intelligence, digital public services and emerging innovation domains that contribute to more resilient and connected economies.
