Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, met with a high-level delegation from Oman on Thursday to discuss key areas of collaboration between the two nations, with a particular focus on the IT and telecom sectors. The discussions also centered on the upcoming global tech event, Comex 2025, scheduled to be held in Oman next September.

During the meeting, the Omani delegation extended an invitation to Pakistani tech companies to participate in Comex 2025, highlighting the event as a prime platform for showcasing Pakistan’s growing capabilities in IT and innovation.

Congratulating Oman for hosting the prestigious event, Minister Shaza Fatima emphasized Pakistan’s strong potential in the IT and telecom industries. She expressed optimism that the event would further strengthen the ties between the two countries’ tech sectors.

“We are committed to enhancing Pakistan-Oman relations, particularly in the IT and telecom industries,” said Khawaja, adding that cooperation in areas like startups and cybersecurity would offer mutual benefits for both nations.

The minister also highlighted the importance of sharing expertise to drive innovation and progress in the IT and telecom fields, with the goal of advancing the shared growth of both countries’ digital economies.
