Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Syed Amin ul Haque, expressed that Pakistan offers significant investment prospects across various sectors, particularly in IT and telecom. During a meeting with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan, Khazar Farhadov, Minister Haque emphasized the desire to enhance bilateral relations in the technology field and expand trade volume between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
The Minister assured the Azerbaijan government and businessmen of full support and facilities from the IT Ministry, including incubation centers, software technology parks, mobile manufacturing, and the telecom sector. Ambassador Farhadov praised Pakistan’s commendable progress in the IT sector and expressed Azerbaijan’s interest in benefiting from Pakistan’s experiences.
He disclosed that Azerbaijan’s Minister for Digital Development & Transport is scheduled to visit Pakistan in July, aiming to sign several Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) for bilateral cooperation in the technology sector. The envoy extended an official invitation to Minister Haque to visit Azerbaijan as well.
