Pakistan Freelancers Association has signed a formal Memorandum of Understanding with FES Higher Education Consultant, marking the beginning of a structured partnership aimed at promoting education, career development, and freelancing opportunities for students and young professionals across Pakistan. The agreement was signed by Nalain Abbas, Ambassador of the PAFLA Rawalpindi Chapter and Founder of Passionate Pak, and Faiza Saqib, Chief Executive Officer of FES Higher Education Consultant, bringing together two organisations with a shared focus on equipping Pakistan’s youth with the skills and pathways needed to participate meaningfully in the digital economy.

The partnership is structured around four key areas of collaboration. Both organisations will jointly organise seminars and workshops designed to raise awareness and build practical skills among students and young professionals. Mentorship and career guidance will form another pillar of the collaboration, providing participants with access to experienced practitioners who can help them navigate the transition from education into professional or freelancing careers. The partnership will also focus on expanding education and freelancing opportunities through structured programmes, and will carry out networking and awareness initiatives to connect young Pakistanis with resources, platforms, and communities relevant to their career aspirations.

The Memorandum of Understanding between PAFLA and FES Higher Education Consultant comes at a time when Pakistan’s freelancing sector is recording significant growth, with earnings from computer and information services crossing the $950 million mark in the first ten months of the current fiscal year. Embedding freelancing awareness and career development support within the higher education pipeline is increasingly recognised as a critical step in ensuring that growth is not just driven by existing professionals but is continuously reinforced by new entrants entering the workforce with both technical and entrepreneurial capabilities. By working directly with a higher education consultancy, PAFLA extends its reach into the student community at exactly the stage where career choices are being shaped.

Organisations interested in collaborating with PAFLA can reach out directly at hello@pafla.org.pk. The partnership with FES Higher Education Consultant reflects PAFLA’s broader strategy of building a network of institutional alliances that connect the freelancing community with academic, training, and professional development ecosystems across Pakistan, ensuring that the country’s growing pool of digital talent is supported from the earliest stages of their career journey.
