ISLAMABAD – On Monday, the NUST Professional Development Centre (PDC) and TechValley signed a memorandum of understanding to facilitate Google Cloud trainings for NUST students, industry leaders, and professionals from various areas at the NUST main campus.

Dr Rizwan Riaz, NUST Pro-Rector for Research, Innovation, and Commercialization, and Umar Farooq, CEO of TechValley, inked the agreement. NUST Rector Engr Javed Mahmood Bukhari also attended the ceremony, and Sean Lim, Google’s Head of Managed Services Providers, joined the session via video link. Shibli Faraz, the Federal Minister of Science and Technology, held an online meeting with the teams of scientists and engineers afterwards.

Under the terms of the agreement, NUST PDC and TechValley will collaborate to build and offer the latest Google Cloud technologies at NUST laboratories, as well as provide training on how to use Cloud technologies for AI and data analytics through NUST PDC. The courses will be centred on a series of seminars, and Google certified trainers with industry experience will lead the training sessions.
