The National Telecommunications and Information Technology Security Board (NTISB), operating under the Cabinet Division, successfully conducted a three-day boot camp on ISO/IEC 17025, an internationally recognized standard for testing and calibration laboratories. The event, held from March 20 to 22, 2025, brought together key officials from multiple organizations, including the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT), the Ministry of Defence (MoD), the Cabinet Division, National Computer Emergency Response Team (National CERT), the Department of Communication Security, the Strategic Plans Division (SPD), and IT and crypto security evaluation laboratories.
The primary objective of the boot camp was to provide in-depth training on implementing and auditing ISO/IEC 17025 standards, particularly in IT and cryptographic security testing laboratories. The standard is instrumental in ensuring the competence and reliability of testing and calibration laboratories, fostering greater collaboration between institutions, and enhancing the credibility and acceptance of test results both nationally and internationally.
