National Information Technology Board has highlighted its Pak App and City App platforms as part of ongoing efforts to expand digital governance and improve public service delivery in Pakistan. Through these platforms, citizens are able to access a variety of government services digitally, reflecting broader initiatives under the Digital Pakistan vision to make public services more accessible and efficient. National Information Technology Board operates under the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication and is responsible for developing and implementing technology solutions that support digital transformation across government institutions.

The Pak App platform has been designed to serve as a centralized hub where citizens can access multiple government applications and digital services in one place. By bringing various services together within a single platform, the initiative aims to simplify how individuals interact with government departments and reduce the need for physical visits to offices. National Information Technology Board has been working to expand the ecosystem of public service applications, supporting the government’s efforts to improve transparency, efficiency and accessibility through digital tools.

Another key initiative promoted by National Information Technology Board is the City App, which enables residents to access a range of civic services directly through their mobile devices. The application allows users to check bills, access police services, pay taxes and interact with different municipal services through a single digital interface. Officials say such platforms are intended to bring essential services closer to citizens while strengthening digital governance and improving administrative efficiency across public institutions.

The expansion of platforms such as Pak App and City App reflects Pakistan’s broader push toward digital transformation and improved public sector service delivery. By integrating government services through mobile applications and online platforms, National Information Technology Board aims to enhance citizen engagement and support the development of a more connected digital ecosystem across the country.
