This month, the National Institute of Excellence in Teacher Education (NIETE) is spearheading a transformative project set to reshape teacher training and development across Pakistan. Aligned with the Government of Pakistan’s Vision 2025, the initiative is establishing a Digital Continuous Professional Development (CPD) center under NIETE, aiming to set a new standard for teacher training that is accessible anytime, anywhere.

The project’s primary objective is to equip public school teachers with essential skills and certifications, fostering ongoing professional development. By delivering cutting-edge pedagogical innovations and methods, the initiative seeks to create a community of perpetual learners. Initially launching in the capital, the project plans to extend its reach nationwide in the future.

The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (MoFEPT) is leading this ambitious effort, with support from the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) and collaboration with the NIETE department within the Federal College of Education (FCE) in the capital.

Taleemabad, a leading force in the Edtech sector, will play a crucial role in developing and deploying NIETE’s project. This includes providing practical, hands-on activities and guidance to shape the quality of teacher training. The project, set to be executed in 342 government schools in Islamabad, aims to train around 4,000 teachers under the NIETE program.

Teachers will receive digital training, lesson plans, and assessment support on their phones, paving the way for a brighter future for Pakistan’s generations. Taleemabad’s project team will offer 24/7 support, ensuring educators seamlessly adapt to technology and training through their mobile phones.

The government’s commitment to tangible change is evident in launching this project, placing teachers at the forefront of educational improvement. The initiative seeks to uplift educational standards throughout Pakistan, recognizing the pivotal role of teachers as architects of destiny with the power to shape the nation’s future.
