National Incubation Center Karachi (NIC Karachi) has formalized a strategic partnership with Women Entrepreneurs of Asia (WE Asia) to amplify visibility and recognition for women-led startups within Pakistan’s growing tech ecosystem. Under this collaboration, WE Asia will serve as NIC Karachi’s storytelling partner, creating podcasts, interviews, and visual narratives that showcase the journeys of female founders who have been incubated or graduated from the centre. The initiative is designed to bridge the visibility gap for women entrepreneurs and highlight their contributions to the country’s technology sector.

Through this partnership, NIC Karachi and WE Asia aim to position Pakistani women founders as role models for resilience, innovation, and business impact. By documenting the experiences of women entrepreneurs, from early-stage startups to high-growth ventures, the initiative seeks to present their stories to regional audiences and foster a more inclusive digital economy. This effort aligns with global gender equality objectives, including the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 5, which promotes empowerment and equality for women. The storytelling initiatives are expected to enhance the representation of women in tech while inspiring future entrepreneurs to pursue innovation and growth in the industry.

Speaking exclusively to Business Recorder, Syed Azfar Hussain of NIC Karachi emphasized the centre’s commitment to supporting female entrepreneurs and connecting ecosystem partners to strengthen women-led businesses nationwide. He explained that WE Asia, which focuses on highlighting the achievements and challenges of women entrepreneurs across Asia, will help spotlight NIC Karachi’s women founders as examples of excellence, long-term impact, and innovation. By sharing high-impact content that captures the journeys and successes of these startups, the partnership aims to provide greater exposure and recognition for women operating in traditionally underrepresented sectors.

This collaboration also aims to create platforms where the stories of women entrepreneurs can inspire broader audiences. Through podcasts, interviews, and visual narratives, WE Asia will help showcase the work of NIC Karachi’s incubated startups, emphasizing how women founders are transforming Pakistan’s technology and business landscape. The partnership represents a progressive step toward building a more diverse and inclusive tech ecosystem while supporting innovation and sustainable growth. By amplifying these success stories, NIC Karachi and WE Asia hope to encourage a wider appreciation of women’s contributions to entrepreneurship and create pathways for future leaders in Pakistan’s digital economy.
