Nayatel has launched Pakistan’s first locally hosted PostgreSQL Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS), marking a major step in the country’s cloud computing landscape. The service has been developed in collaboration with Stormatics, a company known globally for PostgreSQL expertise. With this launch, Nayatel aims to provide a fully managed, secure, and high-performance cloud database solution designed specifically for Pakistani businesses that are otherwise dependent on foreign cloud providers for data management and storage.

Pakistani startups, fintech firms, SaaS providers, and eCommerce platforms have long faced issues with international cloud databases, ranging from high costs and data latency to compliance complications and lack of localized technical support. Nayatel’s entry into the managed PostgreSQL space directly addresses these concerns by offering hosting services from within Pakistan, ensuring both better performance and alignment with national data protection regulations.

The official announcement was made at a MoU signing ceremony held at Nayatel’s head office, where leaders from both Nayatel and Stormatics reiterated their shared goal of enabling digital transformation through reliable infrastructure. Nayatel’s Senior Manager Marketing highlighted that this launch would significantly simplify database operations for local businesses, allowing developers and entrepreneurs to focus on product development and business growth instead of backend complexities.

The new PostgreSQL DBaaS will offer users fully managed database services including provisioning, updates, daily backups, performance tuning, and point-in-time recovery. Hosted on local infrastructure, the service guarantees reduced latency and enhanced data security. Businesses can benefit from high availability through active failover, web-based database management consoles, TLS-secured connections, and encryption at rest.

In addition to these baseline features, advanced support includes load balancing, connection pooling, audit logging, and expert database migration services. Nayatel also offers performance optimization and custom training programs led by PostgreSQL-certified local teams. The goal is to offer a complete, robust package that rivals international service providers while being more responsive to the unique needs of Pakistani enterprises.

With the increasing demand for cloud infrastructure and data localization, Nayatel’s PostgreSQL service comes at a time when enterprises across various sectors are prioritizing control, performance, and compliance. By moving critical data workloads to a local platform, businesses can reduce reliance on overseas hosting, save on operational costs, and ensure smoother access to technical support.

Nayatel, known for its fiber broadband services and growing presence in Pakistan’s tech infrastructure ecosystem, continues to expand its footprint in cloud solutions. Its partnership with Stormatics ensures that the new service is backed by global best practices in PostgreSQL database management while being tailored for the local market. Businesses seeking to adopt this service can reach out to cs@nayatel.com for onboarding and technical consultations. The new offering is positioned as a practical choice for organizations aiming to modernize their data infrastructure with enhanced reliability and in-country support.
