National Vocational and Technical Training Commission Executive Director Muhammad Aamir Jan welcomed Federal Minister for National Health Services Mustafa Kamal upon his arrival at the Pakistan-China B2B Investment Conference on Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare and Biotechnology. The conference brought together stakeholders from both countries to discuss opportunities for closer bilateral cooperation across several interconnected sectors.

The event focused on strengthening ties between Pakistan and China in the pharmaceuticals, healthcare and biotechnology industries, while also addressing the skills development needs required to support growth in these areas. Discussions during the conference centered on identifying areas where Chinese investment and technical expertise could support the expansion of Pakistan’s pharmaceutical and healthcare manufacturing base, along with opportunities for joint research and collaboration in biotechnology.

NAVTTC’s involvement in the event reflects the organization’s role in aligning Pakistan’s technical and vocational training programs with the skill requirements of emerging investment sectors, ensuring that workforce development efforts remain connected to the industries attracting international interest. By participating in a conference centered on pharmaceuticals and biotechnology investment, the organization is positioning itself as a partner in preparing Pakistan’s technical workforce to support the kind of specialized manufacturing and research activity that increased bilateral investment could bring.

The Pakistan-China B2B Investment Conference adds to a broader pattern of engagement between the two countries aimed at expanding economic cooperation beyond traditional infrastructure and energy projects into sectors such as healthcare and biotechnology. As discussions around bilateral investment in these areas continue, organizations like NAVTTC are expected to play a growing role in ensuring Pakistan’s workforce is prepared to support the technical and manufacturing demands that come with expanded international partnerships.
