National Database and Registration Authority has released a comprehensive list of 3,993 e-Sahulat centers operating across Pakistan, aiming to improve accessibility to essential identity services for citizens in both urban and remote areas. The directory, now available on NADRA’s official platform, includes detailed information about each center, including ownership details, allowing individuals to locate nearby service points with greater ease. The initiative reflects a broader effort to decentralise identity-related services and reduce the burden on main NADRA offices, where long queues and travel requirements have traditionally posed challenges for many citizens.
Through these e-Sahulat centers, users can access a wide range of services without needing to visit centralised registration offices. These include applications for issuance and renewal of Computerized National Identity Cards, issuance of B-Forms for children under ten years of age, and cancellation of identity records for deceased individuals. By enabling these services at local outlets, the authority aims to streamline processing and improve service delivery, particularly for residents in underserved regions where access to NADRA offices may be limited. The expansion is expected to significantly reduce waiting times and travel costs, making essential documentation processes more efficient and accessible to a broader segment of the population.
Alongside this development, NADRA has issued a warning regarding the increasing presence of fraudulent websites impersonating official platforms. The authority has urged citizens to exercise caution and verify the authenticity of websites before entering personal information, highlighting concerns around misuse of sensitive data. It also reiterated that online visa services for Pakistan are only available through official government channels and clarified that it does not collaborate with any third-party platforms for such services. This clarification is intended to protect users from scams and ensure that sensitive transactions are carried out only through verified systems.
The publication of the e-Sahulat directory forms part of ongoing efforts to modernise public service delivery through decentralised and digital solutions. As demand for identity and registration services continues to grow, initiatives like this are expected to play a critical role in improving accessibility and operational efficiency. By combining physical outreach through e-Sahulat centers with digital awareness and security measures, NADRA is working to create a more reliable and user-focused service ecosystem across Pakistan, while also addressing emerging risks associated with online platforms and data security.
