The vacancies are for Deputy Assistant Director positions in Junior DevOps Engineering, Junior Infrastructure Engineering, VAS Operations, Core Network Engineering and System Administration. The positions require at least 16 years of education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Telecom Engineering or relevant disciplines, depending on the role. Candidates must hold degrees from HEC-recognised universities, with the required qualifications attested by HEC. The advertised positions require between zero and one year of relevant professional experience and carry a maximum age limit of 30 years, making them particularly relevant for recent graduates and professionals at the beginning of their careers.
The Junior DevOps Engineer position focuses on technologies used to manage software deployment, automation and application infrastructure. Candidates are expected to have knowledge of web servers, Git, CI/CD pipelines and scripting languages including Python, Java, Bash and Ruby. Familiarity with configuration-management tools such as Ansible, Chef and Puppet is also required, along with containerisation technologies including Docker and Kubernetes. The role also involves knowledge of messaging platforms such as RabbitMQ and Apache Kafka, databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL and MongoDB, as well as cloud environments. The Junior Infrastructure Engineer position, meanwhile, covers high-availability servers, storage systems, networking, Linux and Windows environments, virtualisation platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V and KVM, enterprise web and application servers, databases and disaster-recovery operations.
NADRA is also hiring for roles covering telecommunications, networking and enterprise systems. The VAS Operations position involves voice and telecom technologies including VoIP, SIP, RTP, extensions, trunks and codecs, alongside Linux, networking, virtualisation, Docker, monitoring, log analysis and troubleshooting. The Network Engineer-Core position focuses on nationwide connectivity, IP addressing, routing, network monitoring and network operations, with candidates expected to understand network topology, documentation and network-management systems as well as technologies such as SDN and SD-WAN. The System Administrator role covers data-centre infrastructure, server systems, Linux and Windows environments, TCP/IP networking, virtualisation and information security, while experience with cloud-based system administration is considered an advantage.
