MyCloud by Multinet has announced the launch of Pakistan’s first Onshore Developer Cloud through a strategic partnership with Zicon Cloud Middle East, formalizing the collaboration through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Multinet Pakistan Private Limited and Zicon Cloud Middle East. The agreement was signed by Atif M. Tahir, Chief Operating Officer of Multinet Pakistan Private Limited, and Zafar Imran, Chief Executive Officer of Zicon Cloud Middle East, marking a significant step in expanding Pakistan’s locally hosted cloud infrastructure for the country’s growing developer community.

The newly introduced Developers Cloud is designed to support local developers, startups, and enterprises by providing scalable, reliable, and low-latency cloud solutions hosted entirely within Pakistan. By keeping infrastructure onshore, the platform ensures enhanced data sovereignty, regulatory compliance, and improved performance for mission-critical applications, addressing a longstanding gap in Pakistan’s cloud ecosystem where developers have historically had to rely on offshore hosting services in the Middle East, Europe, or the United States, often at the cost of higher latency, greater compliance complexity, and reduced control over where their data physically resides. The platform supports modern development frameworks and tools, enabling seamless deployment, testing, and scaling of applications, and is intended to help developers accelerate their innovation cycles without the overhead of managing physical infrastructure.

Representatives from Multinet highlighted that empowering developers with accessible and secure cloud solutions is critical to driving innovation, supporting startups, and accelerating the growth of the digital economy. By reducing dependency on offshore hosting, the initiative strengthens Pakistan’s digital independence while opening new opportunities for businesses to innovate with confidence, knowing their data is securely managed within national borders. Industry observers note that the availability of onshore developer cloud infrastructure could have meaningful implications for Pakistan’s software export sector, where data residency requirements from international clients, compliance with local regulations, and the need for low-latency connectivity to domestic users have all created demand for a credible locally hosted alternative to the hyperscalers. Businesses and developers interested in exploring MyCloud’s Onshore Developer Cloud can reach the team at cloud@multinet.com.pk or by calling +92 021 111 021 021.
