Save The Date: Momentum Tech Conference 2019 ~ 30th Apr-1st May

The Momentum Tech Conference is one of Pakistan’s leading entrepreneurship conferences started back in 2016. For a third round, this annual conference is all set to take place for the from the 30th of April till the 1st of May 2019. This time around, the conference will be held at the Pearl Continental Hotel in Karachi, whereas for the previous two editions, the conference was held at the Expo Center, Karachi.

At the conference about a 100 startups are to participate and compete for the final prize for $10000. The Momentum conference also has pre-event activities such as initial pitching among 100 startups that is to take place on 28th and 29th April 2019 at the National Incubation Center, Karachi.

At the Momentum Tech Conference 2018, over 300 startups, entrepreneurs and innovative minds from across the ecosystem took part. The event had provided attendees the exposure to learn from 500 different mentors, 100 speakers and the journey of these startups.

Speaking about the conference to the local news, the founder Amir Jafri said,

“I started this journey in 2016 after I was back from Mobile World Congress. So far, it has been an immensely amazing experience for me. Getting tech giants like Facebook, Google, IBM, Microsoft, AWS to attend Momentum and seeing them share the stage was a humbling experience.”

This year, the startup competition is the Launchpad event Startup 100, For Momentum Tech Conference 2019, the collaborations include MENA Arts, Virtual Force for Startup 100, Covalent for FinTech Hackathon, Daftarkhwan for investor management, Radical and Impact Dynamics for conducting workshops etc.

Additionally, the two-day event also promises a startup expo, career expo, product launches, experience centers, music and lots of entertainment.

The conference will also host an exclusive roundtable where influential females will be present to share their challenges; the roundtable is to be co-hosted by Sehat Kahani. The aim of the Fintech Hackathon is to create new customer experiences and revenue models by leveraging Pakistan’s digital payment ecosystem.

The speakers and agenda are yet to be announced for this year’s conference, however, tickets are already on sale and can be purchased from the Momentum website. Here’s a snapshot of the tickets and what you get for the price you pay:

Moreover, to make ticket acquisition hassle free, attendees can get tickets from either Easy Tickets or simply visit Momentum’s website. The tickets have four categories i.e. Student Pass, Entrepreneur Pass, Corporate Pass, and Influencer Pass.

Previously, the partners for Momentum Tech Conference have included Google, Facebook, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, IBM, GoLootlo.pk, Hashoo Group, Bank Alfalah, HBL, USAID, Abacus, Covalent, IDG Pakistan, Careem, EOcean, and JS Bank.
