MoITT and PSEB Offer PKR 30,000 Monthly Stipend in Six-Month Internship for IT Graduates

The Ministry of IT & Telecom (MoITT), in collaboration with Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), has announced the launch of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program – Industry Placement, a six-month paid internship designed for IT graduates. This initiative reflects a strong commitment to empowering young professionals with practical skills that meet the growing demands of Pakistan’s expanding technology sector. The program’s structure is intended to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industry requirements, ensuring participants gain relevant experience while contributing meaningfully to the companies they join.

Under the initiative, selected participants will be placed in leading IT companies across Pakistan for a duration of six months. They will receive a monthly stipend of PKR 30,000 to support them financially during the internship. This compensation aims to remove economic barriers that often prevent fresh graduates from accessing quality training opportunities. More importantly, it acknowledges the value of the work interns contribute while learning. Through this placement, graduates will be exposed to actual projects, workplace environments, and industry tools, providing them with the kind of professional grounding that is difficult to achieve through academic study alone.

The vision behind this initiative is not only to improve individual career prospects but also to strengthen Pakistan’s IT ecosystem by supplying a steady stream of industry-ready talent. By focusing on final-year IT students and recent graduates, the program targets individuals at a critical stage in their career development, offering them both guidance and a pathway toward long-term employment. Industry experts have highlighted that such initiatives are vital for addressing the persistent challenge of skill mismatches in the technology sector. With direct exposure to the operational side of IT businesses, participants are expected to develop practical competencies, enhance their problem-solving abilities, and gain a deeper understanding of client and project management requirements.

Interested candidates are encouraged to apply promptly to secure their spot in this highly competitive opportunity.
