ISLAMABAD: According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, Pakistan imported mobile phones worth $38.804 million in July 2022, an increase of 20.43 percent month-over-month (MoM) from $32.221 million in June 2022. (PBS).
Mobile phone imports saw a negative growth of $67.46 on a year-over-year (YoY) basis compared to $119.237 million in July 2021, according to the PBS’s monthly data.
The total amount of telecom imports into the nation stayed at $67.901 million in July 2022 and experienced a MoM decline of 21.81 percent from $86.843 million in June 2022.
However, as compared to $158.493 million in July 2021, the whole telecom industry saw a negative rise of 57.16 percent on a year-over-year basis.
Other apparatus imports stayed the same at $29.097 million in July 2022 and experienced a decline of 46.73 percent on a monthly basis compared to $54.622 million in June 2022 and a decline of 25.88 percent on an annual basis compared to $39.256 million in July 2021.
