MAL Pakistan Limited, the company behind the Mobil lubricants brand in Pakistan, and JazzCash have announced a strategic partnership aimed at digitising Pakistan’s lubricant supply chain through a seamless end-to-end digital payment flow covering the full value chain from consumer to retailer to distributor. The agreement was signed on June 17 at AWT Plaza in Rawalpindi, in the presence of senior military and corporate leadership from MAL Pakistan, JazzCash, and inDrive.

The partnership enables QR-based payments across the lubricant distribution network alongside a Merchant-to-Distributor model designed to ensure secure transactions and real-time settlement between channel partners. The initiative is structured to improve transparency and strengthen financial control across the lubricant value chain, addressing a longstanding challenge in Pakistan’s automotive and industrial distribution sector where cash-based transactions have historically created reconciliation delays, reduced visibility, and limited the documentation of commercial activity. By embedding JazzCash’s payment infrastructure directly into the distributor-retailer-consumer flow, the partnership creates a fully traceable digital ledger of transactions across the Mobil supply chain.

A particularly notable component of the collaboration is the deployment of a customised digital payment solution specifically for inDrive drivers, enabling them to access Mobil products and services through a simplified, cashless, and fully integrated payment experience. The inclusion of inDrive in the partnership creates a three-way mobility ecosystem: MAL Pakistan contributing premium lubricant products, inDrive bringing its ride-hailing driver network, and JazzCash providing the digital payment layer that connects all parties. Khawar Jamal, Chief Executive Officer of MAL Pakistan, described the partnership as reflecting the company’s commitment to delivering greater value through innovation, performance, and a connected mobility ecosystem. Asim Rajput, General Manager Marketing at MAL Pakistan, described it as more than a commercial collaboration, calling it the foundation of an integrated mobility ecosystem where Mobil, inDrive, and JazzCash each contribute their core strengths to deliver greater value to consumers through the combination of premium lubricants, digital mobility, and cashless payment solutions.
