The gathering brought together educators, policymakers, and innovators who are invested in shaping the next phase of learning across the country and strengthening the future of education through collective insights and collaboration.
The event was attended by Chief Guest Marriyum Aurangzeb, who acknowledged Federal Minister Shaza Khawaja’s leadership and her active role in promoting technology driven education models that support inclusivity and long term national development. She emphasized that the Ministry’s direction under Shaza Khawaja continues to focus on creating pathways that make digital resources accessible, reliable, and aligned with the evolving needs of Pakistan’s youth.
During the event, Shaza Khawaja participated in a panel discussion focused on retaining human skills in an increasingly AI enabled world. She discussed how Pakistan’s strategy prioritizes strengthening digital literacy at every academic level while also ensuring equitable and verifiable access to AI tools for students. She noted that digital competencies are becoming essential for shaping adaptable, informed, and globally competitive learners. Her comments reflected the Ministry’s commitment to building a learning environment that values both human creativity and technological fluency. She added that enhanced access to learning technologies helps equip students with the skills required to thrive in rapidly evolving digital ecosystems.
In her discussion, Shaza Khawaja highlighted the Ministry’s view that an AI driven generation represents an important step toward developing a knowledge based society. She shared that the Ministry continues to encourage interactive, technology supported learning models that allow students to understand AI not only as a technical tool but also as a resource for problem solving, collaboration, and responsible innovation. She emphasized that expanding the reach of digital tools across rural and underserved regions remains a core priority, contributing to a more inclusive national education landscape.
School of Tomorrow events by Beaconhouse Group were first introduced in 2000 as a free to public initiative aimed at fostering dialogue and collective responsibility around social and educational challenges. Over the years, the event series has become a prominent platform where leaders from academia, government, and civil society come together to exchange ideas and develop informed perspectives on the future of education. The Ministry expressed appreciation to Beaconhouse for continuing to host a space where meaningful collaboration can influence learning outcomes and elevate discussions around technology’s role in shaping Pakistan’s next generation.
