MG Motor Pakistan has officially launched the MG4 EV Urban, an electric hatchback positioned as an accessible and technology-equipped option for everyday urban driving, commuting, and family use in the local market. The MG4 EV Urban is part of MG’s expanding New Energy Vehicle lineup and reflects the brand’s commitment to making electric mobility more accessible and relevant for the local market, with the launch attended by dealership leadership, media representatives, and industry stakeholders alongside a dedicated product training session for dealership teams.

The vehicle is built around a 43 kilowatt-hour battery paired with a front-wheel-drive electric motor producing 110 kilowatts of power and 250 Newton metres of torque, delivering up to 316 kilometres of WLTP-rated range, making it practical for city driving, daily commuting, family movement, and routine urban travel. On charging, the MG4 EV Urban supports both alternating current and direct current options, with direct current fast charging capable of bringing the battery from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 28 minutes. This charging flexibility is particularly relevant for the Pakistani market, where home charging infrastructure varies significantly between urban and semi-urban areas and the ability to fast charge at public stations makes daily range anxiety a far more manageable concern for prospective buyers.

Inside, the vehicle features a 12.8-inch high-definition infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, and heated front seats, combining comfort with connectivity for a more intuitive driving experience. On the safety side, the MG4 EV Urban comes equipped with MG Pilot Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Keep Assist, and a 540-degree high-definition camera system with 360-degree visibility and transparent chassis view to support awareness in tight parking areas and city driving conditions.

Speaking at the launch, Jianqiang Shao, Chief Executive Officer of MG Motor Pakistan, said the MG4 EV Urban reflects the company’s commitment to expanding smart and accessible electric mobility solutions in Pakistan, adding that as consumer interest in electric vehicles continues to grow, the future of urban mobility will be driven by technology, practicality, and efficiency, all of which are at the core of the MG4. The MG4 has already achieved global success with more than 200,000 units sold worldwide, and its introduction in Pakistan brings a globally successful electric vehicle platform to local customers looking for modern technology, efficient performance, enhanced safety, and family-friendly practicality.
