Meta has introduced Meta One, a new subscription service that brings together individual, creator, and business plans across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Meta AI, expanding on the single product “Plus” plans it first rolled out globally in May 2026. The company said the core experience across its apps and Meta AI will remain free, with subscriptions unlocking more specialized capabilities and expanded AI usage that go beyond what a free experience built for billions of users can offer. Meta is launching with more than 50 features across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Meta AI, and plans to expand the offering to Edits and its AI glasses over time, with the company reporting more than 15 million subscriptions and trials to date across its various plans.

For individuals, Meta One builds on the existing single product plans, Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus, and WhatsApp Plus, each priced between $2.99 and $3.99 a month, which the company says are seeing strong retention. Instagram Plus recently added custom DM and Story fonts, notifications when specific people view a Story, and DM previews, while Facebook Plus is adding Messenger customization options and expanding super reactions to Reels and Feed posts, and WhatsApp Plus will soon test chat and media backup storage alongside Focus Schedules for muting or hiding chats on a set schedule. Meta One goes further with Core, priced at $7.99 a month, and Premium, priced at $19.99 a month, bundle plans that combine the single product features with heavier use of compute intensive AI capabilities, including more image and video generation through Meta’s Muse models and expanded access to in-app tools like Instagram’s Restyle feature. Meta said more than half of subscribers in early testing engaged with both AI and expression features across its bundled plans, with AI tools like Restyle and Instagram’s voice effects ranking among the top reasons people subscribed.

On the business and creator side, Meta One offers tiered plans starting with Essential at $14.99 a month, which includes an enhanced profile showcasing a business’s website and locations, a bold follow button on Reels, automatic follow invitations for engaged users, a verified badge, and expanded access to Meta Business Agent for responding to customers on WhatsApp around the clock. The Advanced plan, starting at $49.99 a month, adds professional publishing tools including the ability to schedule Stories up to 30 days in advance, links in organic posts and Reels, exportable analytics, deeper audience insights, and the ability to give team members account access without sharing passwords. Expert and Max plans, starting at $149 and $499 a month respectively, target businesses and teams managing operations at scale, offering the highest levels of feature access and Meta Business Agent capacity available under the programme.

Meta said it will continue adding features and agent skills aimed at helping small businesses and creators with end-to-end marketing, business operations, content creation, and optimization, including an upcoming Edits Plus plan offering additional cloud storage and access to an Edits assistant for analyzing Instagram insights. Plans, benefits, pricing, and availability may vary by region, app, and account, with Meta directing users to check the specific features available to their account when starting the subscription process. The expanded rollout marks a more structured phase of Meta’s subscription strategy, following the company’s initial global launch of single product Plus plans in May, and reflects a broader push by the social media giant to diversify revenue beyond advertising as it continues to invest heavily in AI infrastructure and data centers.
