The Faculty of Business Administration at Muhammad Ali Jinnah University has announced that it will host a hands-on workshop on Odoo, an enterprise software platform, as part of its effort to prepare students and faculty members for a rapidly changing digital landscape. The workshop carries the theme of digital transformation and invites participants to explore, experience and build their digital skills through practical engagement with the platform. According to the announcement, mastering modern enterprise tools has become essential for those who aspire to become industry leaders in the years ahead.

The session will be conducted by Syed Ali Raza, who is described as a commercial professional, business development specialist and digital transformation expert. His key areas of expertise include key account management, business development, partnerships and alliances, customer development, solution selling and digital transformation. The organisers said that his professional background in commercial and technology-driven roles will give participants a practical perspective on how enterprise tools are applied in real business environments, rather than limiting the discussion to theory.

The workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, November 10, 2026, and will run from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The venue will be the CSC1 and CSC2 Computer Labs at Muhammad Ali Jinnah University in Karachi, where participants will have access to computer facilities suited to a hands-on learning format. The target audience for the event comprises students and faculty members of the university, and the organisers have encouraged attendees to bring along their classmates so that as many interested individuals as possible can take part.

The event is being positioned as an opportunity to bridge the gap between academic learning and current corporate technology trends. Universities in Pakistan and elsewhere are increasingly seeking ways to expose students to tools that are widely used in the workplace, so that graduates enter the job market with familiarity in the systems that modern organisations rely upon to manage operations, sales, finance and customer relationships. By offering direct experience with Odoo, the Faculty of Business Administration aims to help participants understand how digital systems support better decision making and efficiency within a business.

The organisers have summed up the purpose of the workshop with a call to explore Odoo, understand digital transformation and prepare for the future. The initiative reflects a broader emphasis within the university on combining classroom instruction with practical industry exposure, and it is expected to give both students and teaching staff a clearer view of how digital skills can strengthen their academic and professional journeys.
