In a bid to simplify the cumbersome process of obtaining or renewing Computerized National Identity Cards (CNIC), Lahore residents can now avail National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) services at their doorstep. The newly introduced biker service allows individuals to submit thumb impressions, update photographs, and receive essential documents without the need to visit NADRA offices.
Gone are the days of enduring long queues and time-consuming procedures. With the convenience of the doorstep service, Lahore residents can now streamline their CNIC-related tasks through a representative of the authority.
While the doorstep service offers unparalleled convenience, it comes at an additional cost. Those interested in availing this service can contact NADRA via their helpline at 051-111 786 100. Customers of Mobilink, Ufone, Telenor, and Zong can also dial 1777 for seamless assistance.
Notably, NADRA has expanded accessibility by introducing mobile applications like the Pak ID app. This initiative allows citizens to apply for various identification documents, including ID cards and family registration certificates, directly from their mobile phones.
Looking ahead, NADRA plans to extend the ‘Biker Service’ to Karachi, providing a similar door-to-door convenience for applicants. However, applicants should be aware that this service in Karachi will incur an additional charge of Rs. 1,200, in addition to the standard CNIC fee.
