The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has unveiled a new initiative designed to accelerate the growth of the province’s digital economy by enabling entrepreneurs to establish their software and IT companies within just 24 hours at Peshawar IT Park. This development reflects KP’s vision of building a technology-driven economy while providing innovative facilities and inclusive opportunities for the region’s talent. Located at the ZU Business Center in Chamkani, the park is being positioned as a hub for startups, technology firms, and established businesses aiming to scale their operations with speed and efficiency. With a focus on reducing bureaucratic hurdles, the new framework is set to encourage both local and national technology players to invest and thrive in Peshawar’s expanding IT ecosystem.

The facilities at Peshawar IT Park have been designed to support diverse needs of technology enterprises. Companies establishing themselves in the park will benefit from a 25 percent rent subsidy, helping reduce costs for startups and small businesses in their early stages. High-speed internet connectivity is available throughout the premises, ensuring seamless operations in a sector that relies on stable and fast digital infrastructure. For growing teams, the park provides fully furnished co-working spaces alongside dedicated offices for IT companies, giving businesses flexibility to choose the setup that best suits their requirements. Moreover, the government has emphasized skill-building by offering CXO-level training and certification programs, coupled with a company certification scheme that enables businesses to strengthen their market credentials and competitiveness.

Inclusivity remains central to this initiative, with 30 percent of the park’s spaces reserved for women, persons with disabilities, and the transgender community. This reservation is aimed at ensuring broader participation of underrepresented groups in the digital economy while promoting diversity and equity in the technology landscape of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. By encouraging participation from these communities, the KP government seeks to create an enabling environment that not only stimulates innovation but also supports socio-economic empowerment through technology. Such measures highlight the government’s recognition of digital inclusion as a key driver for sustainable growth and its intention to position Peshawar as a hub that welcomes all segments of society.

Applications for companies interested in becoming part of this initiative are now open through the official platform JOINIT.KP.GOV.PK. Entrepreneurs and businesses applying will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and tailored programs that aim to enhance productivity and global competitiveness. With this new framework, the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is reinforcing its commitment to advancing the province’s role in Pakistan’s broader digital transformation, providing opportunities for startups and enterprises to accelerate their journey while shaping a more inclusive digital future for the region.
