Kotlin Everywhere is a community led event where developers can learn the essentials and best practices of Kotlin in Android, Google Cloud Platform, and multiplatform development.

Devenings is an organization that is focused on connecting local developers offline through local community meetups, workshops, trainings and casual gatherings. They aim to regularly organize a casual monthly gathering for all local software developers irrespective of the tools, technologies and products they work on. These are not just limited to local community meetings, but they also spread out to cover Workshops, Trainings and even Gaming sessions. In their most recent event, they have worked alongside the National Incubation Centre in Islamabad to launch Kotlin Everywhere in Islamabad.

Kotlin Everywhere in Islamabad was an event that looked to cater to the already growing software developing sector in the country by engaging the present Android developer community in Pakistan to start leaning towards Kotlin as their primary stack for developing Android applications. The event took place on the 6th July 2019 at the National Incubation Centre in Islamabad. The event lasted for 4 hours and took place form 4:30-7:30 pm. The event aimed and delivered to have seasoned developers with vast experience in building Android Applications in the Kotlin way being present to better guide the budding developers.

Out of the many evening Devenings offer, certain aspects of each event that they do offer a similar format. Each event or community gathering will follow a monthly theme. Like all other events. The Kotlin Everywhere in Islamabad was open for anyone to attend, irrespective of the tools & technologies they work with. Moreover, the event was open to developers in other cities around the world to register as well to ensure they can create their own chapter and host a monthly event based on the monthly theme.KotlinEverywhere is widely regarded as a global series of community-led events where developers can learn the essentials and best practices of Kotlin in Android, Google Cloud Platform, and multiplatform development. Hence, this event allows the overall community to learn more about the local trends and problems of this stack as well as provide an opportunity for these developers to grow together.
