Karachi Electric (KE), in collaboration with INNOVentures Global, has officially launched the Energy Progression and Innovation Challenge (EPIC), aimed at fostering innovation in Pakistan’s power sector. This challenge invites startups, researchers, and students to develop innovative solutions to pressing energy challenges, with the potential to reshape the country’s power landscape.

The EPIC Innovation Challenge provides participants with an opportunity to tackle key problem areas identified by KE or present their own creative ideas to enhance the efficiency, sustainability, and accessibility of energy solutions. By bringing together forward-thinking minds, the initiative seeks to drive technological advancements in the industry and encourage collaboration between energy experts and the next generation of problem solvers.

The challenge comes with significant incentives, including a PKR 3 million prize pool for the top three winners, along with access to valuable B2B contracts, expert mentorship, and industry exposure. These benefits aim to help participants scale their ideas from concept to real-world implementation, making a tangible impact on Pakistan’s energy ecosystem. Speaking about the initiative, KE officials emphasized the company’s commitment to fostering innovation and sustainability in the energy sector. “EPIC is more than just a competition; it’s a platform for bright minds to revolutionize how energy is produced, distributed, and consumed in Pakistan,” a KE spokesperson stated.

The deadline for applications is April 11, 2025, and KE is actively encouraging students, entrepreneurs, and researchers to participate and seize this opportunity to make a difference in the energy landscape. Interested individuals can apply now at innovation.ke.com.pk or reach out to innovation@ke.com.pk for further details. With the launch of the EPIC Innovation Challenge, KE continues to solidify its role as a leader in promoting technological progress and sustainable solutions for Pakistan’s growing energy needs.
