Jazz has formally introduced Jazz World as its new corporate identity, marking a strategic step to unify its expanding portfolio of digital services under a single and more inclusive framework. The rebranding reflects a broader shift in how the company positions itself within Pakistan’s digital economy, moving beyond its traditional role as a connectivity provider toward an integrated digital services ecosystem. Jazz World is intended to serve as an umbrella identity that brings together the company’s platforms, products, and enterprise capabilities while providing a clearer structure for future growth across technology driven services.

Reinforcing this strategic direction, Jazz World has placed artificial intelligence at the center of its future operating model through the creation of a dedicated Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer role. The move represents a clear transition from using AI as a supporting tool to embedding it across products, platforms, and enterprise decision making at scale. Aamer Ejaz has been appointed to lead this mandate and will be responsible for overseeing responsible, secure, and enterprise wide adoption of artificial intelligence across Jazz World’s operations. His role will focus on ensuring that AI capabilities are integrated into customer experiences, internal systems, and strategic planning as the company accelerates its transformation into a multi platform digital services organisation.

Company officials indicated that the appointment signals a long term commitment to building AI driven capabilities that support both innovation and operational efficiency. Rather than treating artificial intelligence as a standalone function, Jazz World aims to embed it into core business processes, enabling data informed decisions and more personalised digital services. The approach also places emphasis on responsible deployment, governance, and alignment with enterprise objectives. As Jazz World continues to expand into areas such as digital platforms and technology enabled services, AI is expected to play a central role in shaping how these offerings are developed, scaled, and managed across the organisation.

Alongside its AI focused leadership changes, Jazz World has also strengthened its cybersecurity governance by elevating the role of Chief Information Security Officer to report directly to the CEO. Qasim Shafique, who serves as CISO, will now operate from the CEO’s office, reflecting the company’s increased focus on trust, resilience, and security by design. The change highlights the growing importance of cybersecurity as digital platforms expand in scale and complexity, particularly as more services rely on data driven technologies and interconnected systems. By placing cybersecurity leadership closer to the highest level of decision making, Jazz World aims to ensure that risk management and security considerations are embedded into strategic planning rather than treated as operational afterthoughts.

The combined focus on artificial intelligence leadership and strengthened cybersecurity oversight illustrates Jazz World’s intent to scale digital innovation while maintaining confidence and reliability across its platforms. As the company continues its transition from a connectivity led business to a broader digital services ecosystem, these leadership changes signal an effort to balance rapid technological adoption with robust governance structures. Jazz World’s strategy reflects a wider trend within Pakistan’s telecom and digital services sector, where organisations are redefining themselves around platforms, data, and intelligent systems while prioritising security and trust as foundational elements of long term growth within the national digital economy.
