In a remarkable collaborative effort, Jazz has joined hands with NCSW, Islamabad, UNDP, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and UN Women to launch a groundbreaking national report titled “Digitalization and Women in Pakistan.” This report stands as a pioneering initiative, meticulously examining the challenges and gaps pertaining to gender-based digital and financial inclusion, while offering insightful recommendations for the path forward.

Breaking new ground, this collaborative venture between the public and private sectors is dedicated to producing a comprehensive knowledge base. It has been crafted through an extensive consultative process that spanned Pakistan. Additionally, a two-day national conference on August 1st and 2nd, 2023 was convened, bringing together participants from diverse sectors including WDD, the Social Welfare Department, PCSW, IT, P&D, and the Technical Education Department from all provinces of Pakistan, AJK, and GB. The conference culminated in a strategic framework devised for each province/area, strategically guided by the report’s recommendations.

During the event, Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of Jazz & Chairman of Mobilink Microfinance Bank Ltd, addressed the audience, sharing insights into the changes and challenges at hand. This collaborative endeavor aligns with our DE&I vision, reflecting a commitment to sustain momentum by identifying impactful projects and partnerships. Through such initiatives, the goal is to relentlessly advocate for the digital and financial inclusion of women across Pakistan.
