Jazz has earned the HR Pinnacle Award for Most Innovative Learning and Development, an industry recognition that honors organizations making meaningful contributions to workforce development through forward-thinking talent practices. The award highlights Jazz’s commitment to embedding continuous learning into its transformation journey, with a focus on building future-ready capabilities across the organization. Two flagship programs were central to this achievement and reflect Jazz’s broader efforts to evolve into a fully integrated digital services company.

To support its transition into a digital-first ServiceCo model, Jazz partnered with INSEAD Asia to introduce the LEAP program. This initiative trained 47 senior leaders in areas including strategic thinking, customer-centricity, and AI preparedness. By focusing on these capabilities, Jazz equipped its leadership with the tools necessary to drive digital transformation across its service lines. In parallel, Jazz rolled out its Data Science Certification Program to expand data literacy within the company. Through this program, 289 employees were certified in technologies such as Excel, Power BI, and Python. This large-scale skills enhancement effort has helped foster a data-driven culture and improved the organization’s ability to leverage analytics for decision-making.

The practical impact of these initiatives is already visible, with over 86 percent of participants actively applying their newly acquired skills in daily operations. These efforts have directly contributed to measurable business improvements, aligning people development with strategic transformation goals. By combining leadership development with technical upskilling, Jazz is embedding agility and adaptability at every level of its workforce.

Tazeen Shahid, Chief People Officer at Jazz, emphasized that the organization views continuous learning as a core principle rather than just an HR initiative. She noted that investing in people is key to remaining agile in an evolving digital landscape. According to her, the recognition demonstrates Jazz’s ongoing commitment to staying curious, learning continuously, and building a culture that embraces change and innovation from the top down.

These talent development initiatives are a reflection of Jazz’s broader strategy to reposition itself beyond connectivity and into the digital services domain. With over 100 million users, Jazz is actively expanding its offerings across fintech, entertainment, digital self-care, InsurTech, enterprise cloud services, and mobile gaming. This strategic transformation from a traditional telecom operator to a technology-driven ServiceCo is being underpinned by a workforce that is continuously learning and evolving in line with the company’s vision.

The award acknowledges how Jazz is integrating learning and innovation to prepare its teams for new challenges, while supporting digital growth that enhances user experiences and contributes to Pakistan’s broader digital ecosystem. By investing in both leadership and employee capabilities, Jazz continues to demonstrate how future-focused learning programs can fuel meaningful organizational change.
