The Interaction Design Foundation Karachi Chapter is hosting IxDF Karachi Connect, a community event focused on the intersection of artificial intelligence and user experience design, on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the National Incubation Centre Karachi at NED University. The event is open to anyone interested in design, technology, and the future of digital products, with registration available through a simple online form. The session is themed around how artificial intelligence is changing user interface and user experience design and digital products in 2026, a topic that has moved rapidly from speculative discussion to lived professional reality for designers and product teams across Pakistan and globally.

The featured speaker is Muhammad Tahir, Chairman of the Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies of Pakistan, who brings a perspective that spans brand strategy, digital product thinking, and the evolving relationship between creative professionals and artificial intelligence tools. His involvement signals that the event is designed not just for practising user experience designers but for a broader audience of product managers, marketers, entrepreneurs, and digital professionals who are grappling with how artificial intelligence is reshaping the entire process of designing, building, and communicating digital products to end users.

The timing of the IxDF Karachi Connect event is particularly relevant given the pace at which artificial intelligence tools are disrupting conventional user interface and user experience workflows. Generative artificial intelligence tools are being integrated into design software, content generation processes, and user research methodologies at a rate that is forcing practising designers to fundamentally reconsider how they work, what skills they need to develop, and how the relationship between human creative judgment and machine-generated output should be structured. For Karachi’s growing design and product community, a structured, in-person event that creates space to examine these questions alongside peers and experienced practitioners addresses a genuine knowledge-sharing need that online resources alone cannot fully meet.

The Interaction Design Foundation is one of the world’s most widely used self-directed learning platforms for user experience and interaction design education, and its local chapter events in Karachi serve as a bridge between the global design knowledge community and the practitioners building Pakistan’s digital products on the ground. The NIC Karachi venue at NED University, which sits at the centre of Karachi’s startup and innovation ecosystem, provides a fitting environment for an event that brings together design thinking, technology, and entrepreneurship in a single afternoon of learning and networking.
