“Women are the largest untapped reservoir of talent in the world.” – Hilary Clinton
Speaking to IDG Pakistan is Sadaf Mahmood, Partner and Development Strategist at Social Entrepreneurship & Equity Development (SEED) about what it is like to be a woman in her line of work. She said:
“I am fortunate that I have been working in an environment where there is absolutely no gender discrimination, and that encourages me further to hire more girls, engage more female beneficiaries for our programmes and initiatives to support and promote entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship which is our core mandate. Women in any organization or any role bring a different perspective, which in combination with that of their male colleagues can create something phenomenal. If we can just set aside the feminist mottos, or at the other extreme, the reluctance to have a voice, we can find a more balanced path to the road upwards; one that would truly tap our potential with dignity and integrity.”
