The education sector in Islamabad is taking a significant step towards digital literacy. Starting next week, 150 primary schools under the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) will begin offering computer and artificial intelligence (AI) classes.
In collaboration with the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), the Ministry of Federal Education has developed a modern and relevant curriculum for these classes. The focus will be on teaching students fundamental computer skills and introducing them to AI concepts.
The initiative aims to equip students with the skills necessary to thrive in the digital age. By providing access to modern technology and expert guidance, the program hopes to foster a generation of tech innovators.
This move aligns with the government’s broader goal of increasing digital literacy in Pakistan and addressing the current skills gap in the technology industry. It is expected to open up new career opportunities for students and prepare them for the future.
