International Packaging Films Limited has decided to establish a subsidiary in Portugal as the Pakistani packaging manufacturer seeks to expand its commercial presence in European markets. According to a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the new company will be established through IPAK Connect Packaging Materials Trading FZCO, the company’s wholly owned subsidiary based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

IPAK Connect will incorporate a wholly owned subsidiary in Portugal, subject to completion of the required legal, regulatory, and corporate approvals. Once established, the Portuguese entity will become an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of International Packaging Films. The company said the Portugal based subsidiary will serve as its commercial platform within the European Union, supporting customer coordination, order planning, product development discussions, and engagement with distributors and other industry partners.

The move is expected to give International Packaging Films a local presence in Europe, allowing the company to better understand regional market requirements, including packaging trends, sustainability standards, regulatory developments, and customer needs. The company did not disclose the investment amount, expected timeline for incorporation, or the financial impact of the proposed subsidiary, and said it would update the Pakistan Stock Exchange regarding any material developments related to the expansion.

International Packaging Films Limited manufactures flexible packaging films used in consumer and industrial applications, supplying products to both domestic and international markets across the Middle East, Africa, Central Europe, and North America. The Portugal expansion adds to the company’s earlier digital transformation efforts, including its migration to SAP’s S/4HANA Cloud platform, as International Packaging Films continues building out both its technological infrastructure and its international commercial footprint.
