Invest2Innovate’s Pakistan Startup Ecosystem Report 2024 Unveiled

Invest2Innovate, a leading startup accelerator, launched the Pakistan Startup Ecosystem Report 2024 (PSER) at a high-profile event held at the Marriott Hotel in Karachi.

The comprehensive report provides a detailed analysis of Pakistan’s startup ecosystem, highlighting emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges. The report showcases the growing maturity of Pakistan’s startup ecosystem, with several success stories making headlines in 2024.

The event opened with a keynote address by Kalsoom Lakhani, Founder of Invest2Innovate,

The report’s findings were presented by Amna Masood, Head of Insights at Invest2Innovate, during the launch event. The presentation highlighted key trends, opportunities, and challenges facing Pakistan’s startup ecosystem.

Some notable success stories highlighted in the report include:

– SadaPay’s acquisition by Papara, a leading fintech company with ~USD 2B valuation

– PostEx’s successful raise of USD 7.3M in a Pre-Series A round, demonstrating investor confidence in Pakistan’s growing startup ecosystem.

– DealCart’s USD 3M seed round, underscoring the potential of e-commerce and retail tech in Pakistan.

– COLABS’ USD 2M funding for its MENA expansion, highlighting the growth prospects of Pakistani startups in regional markets.

Another important segment is the highlight on Government Initiatives- Driving Growth and Innovation.

This was followed by two panel discussions, “Next Chapter: Reimagining Pakistan’s Startup Landscape” and “Building Forward: Innovation at Crossroads.” These discussions brought together leading stakeholders from the startup ecosystem to share their insights and perspectives on the future of Pakistan’s startup landscape.

Sarah Munir, CEO of Invest2Innovate, delivered the closing remarks, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and collective action in building a vibrant startup ecosystem in Pakistan.

The event concluded with a networking session, providing attendees with opportunities to connect with key stakeholders from the startup ecosystem.
