Islamabad: After faults in the SEAMEWE-5 terrestrial segment were fixed, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) confirmed that internet services in Pakistan were back to normal.
Dual cuts were reported in the SEAMEWE-5 terrestrial segment between the Egyptian cities of Abu Talab and Zafrana, according to the PTA on Tuesday. It stated that efforts were being made to fix the problem. The PTA made backup plans in the interim to continue offering users uninterrupted internet access.
NetBlocks claims that a number of nations were affected by the internet outage, including Pakistan, Indonesia, Djibouti, Eritrea, Yemen, Oman, Somalia, and Chad.
