INNOVentures Global Takes Startups to Experience China’s Silicon Valley

INNOVentures Global (Pvt) Ltd is a venture platform that enables investors to fund commercially viable innovations and entrepreneurial ventures. It does so by identifying early-stage ideas and putting through a rigorous process that leads to proof of commercial concept and validation, and supporting it through mentoring and one-on-one post acceleration commercial support throughout the ideas to value (i2v) continuum.

Now they are giving the startups a chance to earn a chance to build their idea in Shenzhen: China’s Silicon Valley. INNOVentures Global, in collaboration with partners Shenzhen Open Innovation Lab, Pakistan Innovation Foundation and Arbisoft presents Pakistan’s first Product Focused Idea Sprint, from 5–6 May 2018 in Lahore.

The best three ideas/ventures will be offered a place in the Venture Lab, Pakistan’s only Ideas Accelerator for Professionals and University Faculty.

The first day of the Idea Sprint is to be focused on Hardware, IoT and Wearables. With a promise to pack the day with new ideas and innovations, the industry leaders that will be there to encourage and mentor the participants include: Zia Imran, Zaheen Machine; Yasser Bashir, Arbisoft, Maudood Khan, Ex Nasa; Suleman Shahid, LUMS & UX Pakistan, and Rahman Rafiq, Unity3D etc. With a special appearance from David Li, Founder of Chinese Makerspace Movement and Executive Director of Shenzhen Open Innovation Lab.

The  Idea Sprint is to also focus on Augmented/Virtual/Mixed Reality with mentors such as Yasser Bashir, Arbisoft, Maudood Khan, Ex Nasa; Suleman Shahid, LUMS& UX Pakistan, Rahman Rafiq, Unity3D; Murad Akhtar, Tintash; Imran Azhar, AZCorp Entertainment etc. There is also to be a special appearance by a VR/AR evangelist from Unity Corporation.

However, the Idea Sprint is to also focus on Edtech, Digital, Content, Biology, Health Tech, & Wearables, Fintech and Financial Inclusions AI, Analytics and Cloud, and Logistics, ecommerce and services.
